About the Presenter
Ava Doyle, M.Ed | Ava Doyle Consulting, Trainer/Facilitator
Shirley Chisholm once said, “If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.” This
quote resonates deeply with Twyler, whose journey began in the rural heart of Louisiana, where
as a young child, she understood the transformative power of education. She also witnessed
firsthand the harsh realities of institutionalized bias and social injustice. These early experiences
ignited a lifelong passion for advocacy, and for over 20 years, Twyler has dedicated her career to
fighting for educational equity and community empowerment.
Her work goes beyond advocacy; it is deeply rooted in the belief that education can be a catalyst
for personal and generational change. Whether advising students or developing innovative
programs, Twyler equips individuals with the tools they need to navigate and succeed in their
educational journeys. For many, this support represents an opportunity to change the trajectory
of their lives and the future of their families.
Twyler’s approach is centered on creating dynamic learning environments, building resilient
networks of support, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning. Her passion for strengths-based
leadership, uncovering institutional barriers, and addressing the impact of untreated trauma is
evident in everything she does. Above all, Twyler remains committed to cultivating a lens of
equity and access, striving to ensure that every individual, regardless of background, has the
opportunity to thrive.
